Salzburg – the City of Mozart
The Prince-Archbishopric of Salzburg was an ecclesiastical principality and state of the Holy Roman Empire. The capital of the archbishopric was Salzburg, the former Roman city of Iuvavum. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Famous Austrian Composer (1756 – 1791) was born on the 27 January 1756 in Salzburg. He was the son of Leopold Mozart, violin instructor, court composer and deputy music director at the court of the prince-archbishop of Salzburg, and Anna Maria, née Pertl. He was one of the greatest composers of all times. He created his own distinct style, blending traditional and contemporary.
